ABOUT US

Together we are a community of believers. What does that mean, the word community? We believe that together in fellowship we grow closer to God and one another. The bible speaks about iron sharpening iron. We believe that together we grow stronger.

We strive to be a church without walls. Jesus calls for us to go outside the walls to reach the lost and the broken. It is there that the lost will be found. Most churches find it is comfortable to stay within the walls, but we make it an effort to be like the church from the book of Acts, to see our city changed.

We highly value our relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately grow closer to God. We value the word of God and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken, and lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ.

WHO WE ARE

OUR MISSION

The global mission of the Church of the Nazarene is "to respond to the Great Commission of Christ to 'go and make disiciples of all nations' (Matt 28:19)".

OUR VISION

At ECNaz, we strive to share the hope of Jesus everywhere, unite as a community, commit to Christlike living, and allow God to call us (as ordinary people) to do extraordinary things made possible through the Holy Spirit.

OUR VALUES

We value relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship and discipleship, and ultimately grow closer to God. We value God's Word and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken, and lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ.

OUR HISTORY

WORKING TOGETHER TO SERVE OTHERS

In the 1890s, a new wave of independent holiness entities came into being. These included indepdendent churches, urban missions, rescue homes, and missionary and evengelistic associations. Some of the people involved in these organizations longed to unite into a national holiness church. That begin the present-day Church of the Nazarene.

In 1962, Ensley Church of the Nazarene (ECNaz) was founded on these beliefs. Today, ECNaz is a multigenerational church serving Pensacola, Cantonment and surrounding communities. We are people with many different backgrounds coming together to form one family as we seek HOPE through Jesus.
